Carrigaline United AFC Soccer Academy 2009/10

Carrigaline United AFC run a Soccer Academy on Saturday and Sunday mornings at Ballea Park for children below schoolboy/schoolgirl age.

The 2009/10 Academy had 274 boys and 30 girls aged between 6 and 10 registered for the year.  This number will increase in 2010/11.

The training for the boys takes place on Saturday mornings scheduled as follows:
9am - 10am:  U6 / U7 / U8
10am - 11.15am: U9 / U10

The training for the girls is every Sunday morning from 9.15am to 10.15am, U6 to U10.

To join the academy you must first register.  Registration cost is 20 Euro and there is a 3 Euro fee for each training session.  Academy registration day for the 2010/11 season is September 4th.  Training begins on September 11th.

The Academy has been a great success in recent years and this season we are delighted to be back training at Ballea Park with our own excellent facilities.

Our objective as a club is to develop our players in a fun and safe environment and to improve their ability so they will have a good understanding of the game going forward into the under-age leagues.

During cold winter mornings when your child is active on the pitch being trained by our great coaches, why not treat yourself to a tea or coffee with the morning paper in our clubhouse.

The club shop is also open at Academy times.  See the ‘Merchandise’ section of our website for further information.
