The Melbourne Cup Returns to Ballea Park August 2010
The 2010 Melbourne Cup will take place at Ballea Park on the weekend of August 13/14/15th.
The annual national pre-season tournament for the top youth sides of the country will this year be contested by 5 teams: Carrigaline United, Cork City FC, College Corinthans, Wexford Youths and Crumlin Utd.
Last year’s inaugural Melbourne Cup was a great success and the quality of football was nothing short of scintillating, with several youth international players and League of Ireland players on display. Read about it HERE.
This year’s tournament promises to be even better, with our own under-17 FAI Cup finalists from last season hungry to take the cup back from Mick Wallace’s Wexford Youths.
