Great Wins for Under 11’s & 17’s in National Cup
Carrigaline’s super Under 11 team advanced to the next round of the National Cup with a magnificent 2-0 win away to Castlebar Celtic on Saturday. Carrig’s goals were scored by Nathan Coleman and Aaron Drinan. Well done to the lads on an inspirational performance. UNDER 11 TEAM PAGE
Carrigaline’s Under 17’s also progressed in a national cup at the weekend, beating St. Francis on penalties in the FAI Challenge Cup 4th round having played out a 2-2 draw after extra-time. They will now face College Corinthians in a very interesting all Cork quarter final tie on the weekend of March 7th. UNDER 17 TEAM PAGE
Carrigaline Utd Under 15 player Shane Griffin won two more caps for the Republic of Ireland over the weekend in the 4-team tournament that took place in Portugal. Shane made appearances in the games against Holland and Portugal. Again we congratulate Shane, we are proud have one of our own representing Ireland on a competitive stage. Just think in 5 years time the entire under 16 Ireland squad could be made up of our current under 11 dream team.
